Prefer skills-based games? Try your hand at balloon darts, basketball hoops and more, and stand a chance to win giant soft toys and cute trinkets.

Located in a sprawling recreation area known as Ancol Jakarta Bay City Area, Dunia Fantasi is Jakarta's largest theme park offering more than 40 attractions. Eight zones will let you travel the world, so to speak – from Asia and Europe to Africa and ancient Greece. Surge down a log flume at Niagara-gara, be dazzled by an animatronics show at Balada Kera and enjoy classic rides like the drop tower, spinning cups and Ferris wheel.

Many come to Everland to experience T-Express, the world's steepest wooden rollercoaster with a top speed of 104km per hour at a 77-degree angle. Adrenaline junkies have lots more to explore over the five themed zones, including exhilarating rides like Rotating House, Thunder Falls and Double Rock Spin. The little ones don't have to feel FOMO – there's the carnival-like Magic Land and the safari-esque Zootopia.

Before you head to Bali's beaches for some rest and relaxation, get your heart pumping at Waterbom. It's one of the best water parks in Asia, with 17 rides to satisfy thrill-seekers of any level. Start 'easy' with Python, a group ride that will have you sliding and twisting across a large waterslide. When you're ready to level up, take on Smashdown 2.0 and Climax, which will have you hurtling down in a near-vertical freefall from as high as 26 metres.

Located in party city Pattaya, this theme park promises plenty of thrills and spills for kids and adults over ten entertainment zones. Cartoon Network fans should stick around till evening when their favourite cartoon characters make an appearance performing cool stunts and acrobatics in a live show. 

Don't miss The Goop Loop. Step into a capsule and wait for the trapdoor beneath you to open – sending you into a freefall down the slide. Scream!

There's a reason that Singaporean's used to throng to Legoland Malaysia. The first of its kind in our part of the world, this theme park has over 70 Lego-themed rides and shows that's especially perfect for kids. Besides rollercoasters, wave pools and even a boating school, children can get hands-on at Build a Boat – where they get to race boats that they've built themselves using Lego bricks. There are also jaw-dropping Lego recreations of India’s Taj Mahal, Singapore’s Merlion and The Forbidden City in China to marvel at.
