Like many all around the world, your travel plans may have been put on hold due to the ongoing travel restrictions – especially since MOH has issued an advisory to defer all travel abroad. Additionally, most airlines are temporarily suspending all services. For good reason, too, because not travelling right now is the socially responsible thing to do. But what about that flight you painstakingly saved up for?

We get you, airfare is definitely not cheap. But thankfully, many airlines – such as Singapore Airlines, Jetstar, and AirAsia – are waiving flight cancellation and rebooking charges. Here's everything you need to know about the steps you need to take to get a refund.

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is waiving ticketing change fees for all SIA and SilkAir tickets issued before March 15 for travel dates up to May 31. Simply fill in the form on Singapore Airlines' website. You have to option to either retain the value of your ticket and extend your ticket validity or change your travel plans. You can extend your tickets for use up to March 31 next year, but top-ups still apply for fare differences on the new itinerary.

If your flight has been cancelled, no action is required from you – and you will be able to rebook your ticket at a later day.
