Pint-sized snappers will strut their stuff in this outdoor photography exhibition

Kids have a way of expressing things we wouldn’t dream of, and their artistic creations are often enlightening and inspiring. Of the 220 submissions to the Little Sydney Lives photography competition, 20 wonderful snaps taken by kids aged 3-11 have been selected as finalists.

Winners across two age categories – 3-7 and 8-11 – will be announced on September 12. Then all the finalists will be displayed on large canvases and exhibited in the Sandringham Gardens at Hyde Park from September 13 until October 7.

This project by the City of Sydney replicates the renowned Australian Life photography competition, which aims to reflect the many facets of Australia’s social and cultural context, as well as the everyday lives of citizens.
