These two pubs will be making the most of the Australia Day long weekend

[Sponsored] Both Randwick's the DOG Hotel and Surry Hills' Keg and Brew will be hosting Australia Day shindigs right across the long weekend. It all kicks off on Thursday evening with both venues hosting a launch party for the Two to Tango Summer XPA. The collaborative brew is the result of both pubs working with the Australian Brewery to create a tropical beer, using passionfruit and citrus galaxy hops, mango and passionfruit. You'll be able to meet the team from the Australian Brewery and enjoy a brewer’s shout. This tropical ale is only $6.50 a schooner and $15 a jug.

On January 26 there will be an eight tap tropical takeover, plus a true blue Aussie menu. Order a Hanger Sanga (a coffee spiced hanger steak sandwich) or a Banger Sanga (a lamb sausage and caramelised onion sandwich) and enjoy it with a summery ale. On Saturday there will be the GABs Craft Beer Hottest 100, soundtracked by Triple J’s Hottest 100 from noon. There will also be $12.50 burgers, wood fired pizzas at the DOG Hotel and a kilo of chicken wings for $9.90 at the Keg and Brew.

Finally you can round out the weekend with a Sunday session. Enjoy a $10 courtside cooler cocktail jug and a hearty Sunday roast from $17.

So whether you want to tune into the Hottest 100 with mates or try a brand new brew get your crew together and head down to the DOG Hotel or the Keg and Brew this long weekend.
