A Sunday session devoted to discovering the almighty artisanal agave spirit

Tequila has spent a very long time in the spotlight when it comes to good times, but if the runaway success of standing-room-only mezcaleria Cantina OK is anything to go by, mezcal is very much having a moment. The truth is, the party pros over at Tio's have been preaching the gospel of agave since day dot and they're showing no signs of slowing down.

On Sunday, March 29, the Surry Hills cerveceria is inviting you to take a delicious deep dive into the magical world of this distinctive spirit at its fifth annual Mezcal Minifest. The country's finest importers will be coming together for the once-a-year fiesta, showcasing the best mezcal Mexico has to offer, including some very special, hard-to-get-your-hands-on gear.

Entry is free, with complimentary tastings between 3-5pm – so it's best to arrive early if you want to make the most of it. The festivities will continue well into the night with drink specials, signature 'Gordo' fat-fried pizzas and party tunes.
