Time Out says

Sydney's favourite party people Heaps Gay have more than good times in the bag. For their fundraising event Totes Gay, they've asked some really impressive Australian artists and designers to customise tote bags – all in aid of rolling the plebiscite (or "plebishite" as they call it) in glitter and paving a sparkling road towards marriage equality.

The bags will be auctioned off on eBay, but before that happens, there'll be a one night chance to check out the works. They'll be on display at Trolley'd warehouse in St Peters, and to loosen those bidding fingers, there'll be margaritas, music and good times on the night. There are 43 artists involved in the auction, including Tony Albert (the man behind those bullets in Hyde Park), who went to the effort of unpicking his tote and weaving it into a dilly bag; Rosie Deacon, who covered her's in neon pink koalas; fashion designer Gary Bigeni; jeweller Elke Kramer; melting-rainbow-glitter wielder Louise Zhang and Time Out cover star Amrita Hepi and 40-Under-40 picks Ollie Henderson.

Even if you miss the party (although you shouldn't), when the auction goes live on October 12, you can bid right here
