Time Out says

With her signature simple strings and an intimate stage presence, Angie McMahon burst onto the East-Coast scene in 2017 with ‘Slow Mover’, a single that’s since become a treasure of a sing-along – and it’s also recently gone gold. Now the Melbourne singer-songwriter is finally ready to grace us with her debut album Salt. In a past life, McMahon was part of a nine-piece soul band called the Fabric, which might account for the blisteringly raw emotion that bursts through her unassuming guitar ballads. A fan favourite of the Triple J Hottest 100 for three years running, she’s been a staple of Australia’s music festival scene for quite some time, but if you’ve missed any of her appearances you can catch McMahon at City Recital Hall on her aptly named I Made an Album debut solo tour.
