Time Out says

One of the country's greatest orchestras is previewing its new concert with a free pop-up gig

The Australian Chamber Orchestra's next concert is all about those musicians who've got one foot in the classical world and one foot in indie music. The ensemble will be playing pieces by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, the National’s Bryce Dessner and Sufjan Stevens alongside music by the Polish composers who inspired them.

To preview the new concert, called Indies & Idols, a string quartet made up of orchestra members will be giving a free short concert in the entrance court of the Art Gallery of NSW, in celebration of Make Music Day 2019. It's on Friday, June 21 at 1pm, which makes it the perfect way to spend a leisurely lunch break if you happen to work in the city.
