Newtown's sprawling pub crawl is back for another year, and the Marly has three levels of music to offer
Now in its third year, the King Street Crawl is once again popping live music and art performances into the multiple, beloved venues of Newtown. The crawl enlists the help of Sydney's best party crews and local labels to curate line-ups, and the Marlborough Hotel is contributing a huge one with over three levels of parties.
It all kicks off at 1pm in the main bar, where you can grab your first schooner and catch sets selected by Cronulla festival wizards Sounds of the Suburbs. Watch SAD13 (USA), Amyl and the Sniffers, Totty, Beerwold, Scabz, and many more in the pub rock atmosphere of the bar.
Then head upstairs to Miss Peaches for a sunset session curated by independent label Rice is Nice. Grab a booth and enjoy sets from Mere Women, Rackett, Hair Die, Heat Wave (Melb), Moody Beach, and a bevy of DJ sets from Rice is Nice gems.
Cap it all off by dancing downstairs in the subterranean party vibes of Tokyo Sing Song, helmed by electronic music legends MOTORIK. Expect to be shuffling until late to the sounds of Motorik Vibe Council, Francis Xavier, Mclean & Mai, CSMNT61, and Vivi.
The best part? It's all free. Head to the Marlborough Hotel's King Street Crawl party and you might end up staying longer than you expect.
