Time Out says

It may now be over two decades since Neneh Cherry last appeared on the upper reaches of the charts but, away from the spotlight, she’s been cultivating a reputation as one of pop’s most interesting and thought-provoking artists. She’s released two solo albums in the last five years – Blank Project and Broken Politics that have blurred the boundaries between R'n'B, dance and jazz, and she is bringing her live show to Carriageworks for what promises to be one of the highlights of Sydney Festival. This is Cherry’s second ever visit to the NSW capital, so demand is likely to be extraordinarily high. It’s understandable though – who wouldn’t want to see one of the most outspoken and stylish musicians of any generation rip it up during an era when she’s needed more than ever?
