Catch Sydney’s funkiest band with a livestreamed performance from the Opera House

Snuggle in for the ultimate Sunday sesh from home with the sunny vibes of Winston Surfshirt. The Sydney Opera House’s digital program, From Our House to Yours, is going contemporary this week, bringing Sydney’s own hip hoppy funk machine to the stage for a special livestreamed performance in an intimate three-piece mode.

Before they made their mark with worldwide breakout single ‘Be About You’ and toured around Europe with two smash albums, this softly psychedelic Manly band first exploded on the beaches scene with party-popping rap covers thumping with live brass and sub-heavy beats.

Now you can catch their steamy stylings streaming live from the Joan Sutherland Theatre from 8pm on Sunday, May 24, on the Opera House website. If you can’t catch it live, it will be available to stream on-demand afterward.

The locally-focussed, contemporary spin on the digital program is in honour of VIVID Live, the Opera House’s annual centrepiece music, arts and light festival, which would have been in full swing this week. You can also catch a set from local post-punk legends Low Life.
