Tucking into lobster is always an event – an ingredient so unanimously fancy that it’s usually reserved for only those most special of occasions. And so it was for gourmet fast-food joint Betty’s Burgers, which served up succulent lobster rolls to its hungry patrons last October, to celebrate the opening of its first two Sydney outposts, in North Sydney and the CBD. Those sandwiches – packed with fresh lobster meat, special mayo, shallots, chives and a generous squeeze of fresh lemon – were only around for a good time, not a long time, and sold out in less than a week.

But if any of Sydney’s seafood aficionados missed out the first time around, Betty’s lobster roll is back for a victory lap and will be on offer at all 22 Australian stores from Thursday, February 13, including the nine outlets now operating in Sydney. They're $23 a pop, including a side of fries.

As with its first appearance, the lobster roll is strictly limited edition and will only be available while stocks last. If its debut is any indication, you’ll have less than a week before they’re gone once more.
