Like the life and times of a rock 'n' roll star, it's been something of a wild rollercoaster ride for Byron Bay’s beloved music festival Bluesfest. First it was sideswiped from the cultural calendar by the year of chaos that was 2020. Then hearts were broken all over with the news that this year’s line-up was off the cards too. But have no fear, Bluesfest and it’s brilliant Sydney sideshows will be back bigger than ever in 2020.

Bluesfest Touring has confirmed that Sydney will host the likes of the godmother of punk Patti Smith and Her Band, one of the world's greatest guitarists George Benson, Bob Marley’s original bandmates The Wailer, sister duo Larkin Poe and the sweet soul sounds of Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles.

No word yet about Alanis Morisette and her promised Jagged Little Pill anniversary tour, but for now, we’ve got one hand in our pocket and the other one giving a high five crossing its fingers.

You can check out the full line up at bluesfesttouring.com.au and stay tuned to their Facebook and Twitter pages for further announcements.

Hungry for live music? Make sure you rock out at the reopening of the Enmore.
