This year the sweet tunes of Vivid Music expand to Kings Cross

Vivid is the annual arts and music festival that has made a summer city a winter destination, and this year the festivities are spreading even further across Sydney, with the introduction of a killer programme of music and performance art at the Kings Cross Hotel. The multi-level festival will run over four weeks of immersive theatre, dance parties and cabaret, kicking off with an epic bash called Welcome to Kings Cross that will pack every floor of the hotel with 20 DJs for a night that harks back to the glory days of our original party district.

Taking cues from New York's immersive theatre production of Macbeth, Sleep No More, Visiting Hours is produced by bAKEHOUSE Theatre and is set to transform the Kings Cross Hotel into a mysterious hospital full of non-linear performances  on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Avant Cabaret is on in the Red Room on Friday and Saturday evenings and boasts a line-up of Sydney's top cabaret performers, including Jeff Duff, Betty Grumble, and Zsa Zsa La Fine.

And when all the tunes have got you in a party mood, Twenty Years of Seduction with Jay Katz & Miss Death will be taking over your Saturday nights in a four-week run that sees the famous Sydney lounge club night, the Sounds of Seduction, return to Kings Cross Hotel's Dive Bar.
