Time Out says

Somehow Kensington Street found room for this fancy French bistro

Chippendale’s latest French eatery is all about giving punters that classic-French bistro experience. Co-owner/chef Frederic Colin is hoping to offer up something similar to his Singapore offering of the same name.

The menu is all about the classics. In honour of Colin’s grandfather, who he cooked alongside from the age of ten at his restaurant, there is pâté en croûte de grand-père Henri and French onion soup also dedicated to the man. There is classic steak tartare on the menu, escargots (snails) and King crab thermidor. One dish we’ve got out eye on is the classic melted goat’s cheese salad, served with roasted walnuts. There are also heaps of steak options, and confit duck served with crushed potato gratin.

The restaurant is situated in one of the buzziest strips in town – just next to Spice Alley and opposite Kensington Street Social on Kensington Street in Chippendale, so you now have pretty much every reason to just move already to Chippo, and eat out every night of the week.
