Dinner and a Show at Icebergs
Time Out says
Life returns to this iconic seaside venue on August 1 with a killer lineup of Australian musicians
Icebergs Dining Room and Bar is back with a bang, marking its re-entry to the dining scene with a star-spangled lineup of local artists spanning an entire week in a series called 'Dinner and a Show'.
On Saturday, August 1, things kick off for re-opening night with music industry mainstay Stephen Pavlovic, followed by opera darlings Anna Dowsely and Jonathan
Abernethy, who'll bring the drama of Italian opera and the finesse of French opera to the dining room table. Much-loved jazz and pop songstress Kate Cerberano will follow hot on their heels on Thursday, August 6, after which The Delta Riggs will take the main stage in an unplugged, intimate performance of indie rock hits on Friday, August 7. Lastly, to round out a week of musical delights, the legends of Sneaky Sound System will play their distinctive, electro-funk tunes all Saturday night on August 8.
So that's the show sorted – but what about dinner? In a dining room as illustrious as this one, your tastebuds are bound to be entertained, too. Icebergs is lining up its 'greatest hits' menu for the occasion. The menu is $240 per person, which includes a drink on arrival, petit fours, dinner, and a secret special gift at the end of the evening. You can also book for lunch, where local DJs will be spinning the decks while you gaze out over those ocean views and Bondi Beach.
As Icebergs owner Maurice Terzini said in a press release, "No livestream or take away at home can replace the enjoyment and the feeling of goose bumps that live performances provide." Amen to that.
