Time Out says

Aussie Artisan Week is a time get curious and to celebrate local producers

Aussie Artisan Week is an initiative spearheaded by Pierre Issa and Melissa Altman of everyone’s favourite cultured butter churners, Pepe Saya Co. First launched in 2020, this seven-day celebration of local makers connects farmers and producers with hungry customers. Every day, from Aug 16-23, some of Australia's top artisans will take the spotlight on the Aussie Artisan Week Instagram account and website. It's a chance to support Australian artisans putting heart and soul into their craft – we're talking baked goods, top-shelf produce, fancy pantry staples, and hand-made ceramics – but it's also a call to action for consumers to get curious about where their produce is coming from and who the people are that make it all happen. Think of it as a digital farmers market, with a lineup of stallholders that reads like a who's who of Australia's elite luxury makers.

Among others from across the state, Pepe Saya Butter Co., Crumpets by Merna, Country Valley Dairy, Mapo Gelato, Louise M. Ceramics, Pecora Dairy and Zokoko Chocolate have all signed up to champion the cause.

In the lead up to the week, the team at Aussie Artisan Week has already been showcasing other artisans on their Instagram feed, and they encourage all Australian artisans and their supporters to get involved by sharing their products and purchases. You can check out more information, including events, how to get involved and ways to discover and support local producers by heading to the Aussie Artisan website.
