Catch Griffin Theatre's Kill Climate DeniersDavid Finnigan's controversial satire about climate change (we gave it four stars); or you can see John Bell travel back to 1944 in Diplomacy at the Ensemble Theatre. At the Riverside Theatre you can witness poet Taha Muhammad Alis’s exquisite works or go on a coming of age journey that explores privilege and mobility in Flight PathYou can also go on a multi-lingual adventure in Patrice Balbina’s Chance Encounter with the End of the World, a funny and surprising tale of a young Australian girl who must flee her home.

A slice of the Adelaide Fringe Festival will take to the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre when Kaput brings slapstick and acrobatic antics to Western Sydney, while the Old Fitz Theatre will host an off-Broadway Australian premiere of The Wolves.

Other Playwave performance partners have included Sydney Festival, Sydney Theatre Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney Film Festival, Carriageworks, and the Australian Museum.

The initiative comes from Shopfront Arts Co-op, in collaboration with the City of Sydney. Playwave membership is free for 15-19 year olds. Discounted tickets can be purchased as single events, or via account credit, gift vouchers, or monthly subscriptions.
