Time Out says

If you love contemporary theatre, then redirect your attentions to super-cool Marrickville’s Flight Path Theatre this February. On touch down, you can catch stars Austin Hayden and Ryan Bown as the estranged brothers with serious sibling rivalry issues in True West, the classic American play by Sam Shepard. But get in quick, because it’s a blink and you’ll miss it one-week run from February 2-7, with tickets only $20-$35. There will also be an opportunity to stream the show too, later on.

Marking the directorial debut of Georgina Symes, her take on the acclaimed modern masterpiece is sure to be unmissable. Particularly if you’re the sort that really digs the spectator sport of soaking up savage family showdowns. Jo Briant plays the matriarch of the Hayden clan in this fiery production.

“When the opportunity arose to direct a play for the first time it could not have been more special that I was asked by actors from the Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop community,” Symes says. “The creative process in bringing True West to Flight Path Theatre has been a truly collaborative one.The most enjoyable experiences I have had as an actor have been the collective ones, therefore the direction I have chosen to take has been just that. I feel very strongly that there is no one person who is responsible for storytelling.”
