The handsome CBD bar and eatery is doing its part to help people in need

Not that there’s anything wrong with throwing a few extra coins into the relief jar – every cent counts, after all – but there’s something special about being in a room full of people doing their part to lend a hand. That’ll be the vibe on Saturday, February 1 at Bopp and Tone’s Bushfire Benefit, an evening fundraiser that will see all proceeds from ticket sales donated to WIRES Emergency Fund for Wildlife, the Salvation Army Bushfire Disaster Appeal and the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery initiative.

A $150 ticket (or VIP booth for five peeps at $900 total) scores you a specially curated shared feast that kicks off with Four Pillars gin and Regal Rogue vermouth cocktails as well as Sydney rock oysters on arrival, followed by yellowfin tuna crudo and sea scallops in kelp butter gratin and mains of roasted duck breast and F1 Wagyu sirloin (with a marble score of seven-plus, mind you) accompanied by classic sides. You’ll finish with cheese and a Manuka honey panna cotta.

Live music will keep the vibe going, and hopefully the free-flowing cocktails, beers and wines from all-stars M&J Becker, Geyer Wine Co, Ravensworth, and Alpha Box & Dice among others will help you loosen your inhibitions and purse strings enough to spend big on the raffle and silent auction. Prizes include a two-night stay in one of Cave Beach Coastal’s beach bungalows, a $200 Daily Edited voucher, five VIP packages for AMEX’s Openair Cinema, Koala summer duvet sets, Swarovski jewellery and a bottle of Michter’s ten-year-old bourbon.
