The Shangri-La Hotel’s Café Mix is highlighting the traditional spicy cuisine for one week only

Spicy Sichuan cuisine has a very special place in Chinese culture. Now, as part of the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney's ongoing International Food Festival series in at their first-floor eatery Café Mix, you’ll soon be able to experience authentic Sichuan cooking right here in Sydney.

For one week only, the Sichuan Food Festival will celebrate the flavours and sensations of Sichuanese cuisine. Guest chefs Li Tok Fan and Tu Guang Peng from the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu, China will provide the heat and a string of authentic Sichuan dishes for the hungry masses. Think dan dan noodles, steamed fish with fresh Sichuan peppercorn and kung pao chicken alongside Café Mix’s celebrated exotic seafood selection.

The Sichuan Food Festival will run from Thursday April 6 until Thursday April 13 at Café Mix. A buffet lunch ($55 per person) will be served from noon-2.30pm, and the buffet dinner ($85 per person) will be served from 6-10.30pm. Bookings are now open.
