This year marks the tenth year of Heaps Decent – the Australian-based organisation that works with young people and emerging artists from marginalised and disadvantaged communities to tell their stories. And if you’re not familiar with the backstory, Heaps Decent was created by three heaps decent musicians: Nina Las Vegas, DJ Levins and US DJ-producer Diplo.
They’ve helped create thousands of songs written during workshops all over the country, and this weekend Diplo will be joining co-founder NLV for a Q&A at Giant Dwarf to talk about how collaboration was a key part of the globally successful producer’s career.
The hour-long talk costs $25-$30 and any profit after costs will go directly towards the work of Heaps Decent.
