Time Out says

Tour a kitchen garden, watch an adorable animal doco and explore Casula Powerhouse

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre will be celebrating with a day packed with paintings, snacks, friendly faces and felines (not in that order) on Saturday November 4.

From noon you can head to the launch of the centre's brand new restaurant, Bellbird. Chefs Frederico Rekowski and Steven Pham have created a menu centred around seasonal produce picked from their own kitchen garden, which you'll be able to sample. To complement these canapés, they've brought on local brewery Stockade Brew Co and Mittagong vineyard Artemis to provide tipples. Talk to the chefs, tour the kitchen garden and try the fruits of their labour. Best of all, it's free.

From 2pm ABC radio personality Wendy Harmer will host her very own Sydney-centric exhibition. She's sifted through Casula Powerhouse's collection of more that 5000 artworks, to curate an exhibition that captures the secret and personal stories of the city.

Finally Sydney Film Festival will host a ticketed screening of Kedi, a shamelessly satisfying and adorable documentary about the cats of Turkey. Accompanying the screening the legends from Liverpool Animal Shelter will be on site to discuss the work they do, and accepting donations of bedding, pet toys and quality dried pet food.

Add in a riverfront location and six other galleries to explore and you've got plenty of reasons to head to this cultural hub of South West Sydney.
