Time Out says

Skaters of all ages can perfect their penguin waddles and slide like a happy seal across the ice at this open-air ice skating rink set against the backdrop of the gates of Taronga Zoo. This temporary winter activity pops up from June 26 to July 11.

Add a special element to a day at the Zoo and find your flippers with a 45-minute skating session, which will raise funds for the not-for-profit Zoo’s vital conservation efforts to help save the endangered Little Penguin. You can learn about the challenges facing Australia’s native penguin species in the wild while you’re at it.

The rink is open from 10am to 8pm to skaters of all ages and skill levels. Adult tickets are $23, kids aged 5-15 are $20 and children 2-4 years old can skate for free with a paying adult. Grab your tickets here.
