Poof Doof’s annual Halloween disco transforms into a bloody banquet

Poof Doof’s Halloween party just gets bigger and spookier every year. What started out in Melbourne as just a group of 100 or so eager doofers has grown into a gala ball and spawned off in Sydney. This year HalloQueen rises again as a bloody banquet, sharing all the seasonal spooks while keeping physical distancing in line.

This three-hour haunt promises a jam-packed evening of ghoulish and gaudy glam. Guests arrive to strut their stuff and show off their Halloween look on a blood-red carpet before sitting down to a two-course dinner and show, with entertainment from devilish drag queens and vampiric vocalists.

Drag DJ Kitty Glitter will be reigning over the affair, joined by Danni Issues, Vybe, Ivy League and the ‘Poof Doof Dance Demons’ in a spooktacular show. There’ll also be live howling from local club legend and soulful chanteuse Sheba Williams and cabaret crooner Timothy Springs

Meanwhile on the menu provided by chic Italian diner Totti’s, cheese lovers will scream (with delight) at the sight of burrata as an entreé and 'Michael Myers Mains’ which include a ‘Trick or Truffle Mushroom Lasagne’ and ‘Hellfire Smoked and Roasted Chicken’. Your ticket also entitles you to a drinks package, with a creepy cocktail on arrival and a Grim Reaper’s Goody Bag to take home.

You’ll wanted to gather up your bloody valentine and a gang of ghouls for this affair at the Ivy – tickets are sold in tables of four ($691.52), six ($1,097.48) and eight ($1,462.64), that’s around $180 a head. Book in here while you can. The late night feast starts at 10pm and kicks on until 1am, so make sure to plot your old hallow’s eve shenanigans accordingly.
