Time Out says

Celebrate with a five-course 'dogustation', pup-friendly high tea, and a whole lot more

It's not like we needed the excuse of an international day of commemoration to show our pups some love – but we'll take it. A series of hotels in and around Sydney are marking International Dog Day – Wednesday, August 26 – with adorable events designed for our four-legged friends.

The Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is hosting a ‘five-course dogustation’ complete with chicken pupcakes, doggy donuts, and watermelon coconut treats from the Gourmet Dog Barkery. Book in now, it's $45 per pup. The ticketed event will host two seatings to cater to small-to-medium dogs at 1pm, followed by larger dogs at 2pm. Book online

Closer to home, pups and their parents can take to the stunning vistas of the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay for high tea for two – your BFF will be treated to scented relaxation towels, perfect for soothing the stresses of 2020. It's $62 per person, and is available all week from noon to 4pm. In barking good news, Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach has also just announced that all its stays are now pet-friendly – so no need to leave your pup behind on your staycation.
