Time Out says

Let's talk about text, baby – typography and fonts are the focus of this exhibition at Artbank Sydney

Opening as part of Art Month Sydney, Let's Talk About Text pulls together artworks that showcase text and typography-based communication from the Artbank Collection. From slogans to fonts, the exhibition focuses on text's ability to be aesthetically pleasing while also communicating.

The artworks, curated by Daniel Mudie Cunningham and Miriam Kelly, include pieces from artists like Eugenia Raskopoulos, Newell Harry, Clinton Nain, Angela Cavalieri, Thomas Jeppe, Rose Nolan, Emily Floyd, Peter Dudding, John Demos, Alice Lang, Anthony Johnson, Nasim Nasr and Sarah Contos.

The free opening night event will also feature a very special set from string quartet Enigma, who have played alongside the likes of Kanye West and Florence and the Machine. They'll be playing a classical interpretation of tracks from hip-hop queens Salt'N'Pepa.

The exhibition runs until June 16, so if you can’t make it on the night there’s still plenty of time to check out the show and discover Artbank, a federal government program to support Australian contemporary artists.
