Time Out says

Watch this comedic variety show livestreaming from Oxford Street every Saturday

Heading down to Oxford Street to have a boogie amongst sweaty bodies may not be on the cards for some time to come. But lucky for us, you can still see some of the Stonewall Hotel’s biggest queens and best entertainers take to the stage every weekend, via livestream.

Sydney drag matriarch Minnie Cooper and dashing co-host Steven Milne bring you Live from Stonewall, a weekly variety show with lots of hilarious and fabulous guests joining them live from their lounge rooms and in person on the Stonewall stage, where the club has been repurposed as a socially distanced studio.

Live from Stonewall aims to keep queer communities and allies connected during this unusual time. Minnie and co will be chatting live with you, the viewers, as they discuss the community at large, take a light-hearted look at current affairs, play the latest music videos and review the best queer movies to stream in partnership with Queer Screen.

Guests include polyester-wearing, ageless personality Bob Downe, viral comedian Tanya Hennessy, leggy entertainer Rhonda Burchmore, singer-songwriter of nostalgic Australian Idol fame Anthony Callea, and plenty more funny and talented people to light up your evening.

This multi-camera production is not your typical livestreamed bedroom gig featuring an unmade bed in the background. Mysterious masked cleaner Pam Demic will be on set keeping things clean and sanitised, while sexy barman Ivan keeps everyone lubricated.

The next episode on Saturday, April 25, has a special all-female line-up including Julia Morris, Anna Polyviou, Christine Foster, Zoe Coombs Marr, Jan Van Der Stool (Queenie Van De Zandt) and Kate Wickett (CEO of World Pride).

This rapid concept-to-air show started streaming four weeks ago and has gained over 40,000 views so far. Tune in from 8pm on Saturday nights at for some proper iso-tainment.
