Time Out says

See the rooster lanterns, watch the sails turn red and enjoy Asian language tours of the Opera House during the Lunar New Year celebrations

Size up against two eight-metre-high roosters at Bennelong Point, which are star attractions in this year’s Lunar Lantern exhibition – part of the City of Sydney’s Chinese New Year Festival

Sydney Opera House is also lighting its sails to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The 17-day festival draws an impressive crowd to Sydney and many visitors take an Asian language tour of the Opera House during their trip.

There are special dining offers at Opera Kitchen, Opera Bar, Portside Sydney and Bennelong, plus there’s a special performance from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Chinese composer and conductor Tan Dun
