[title]Netflix’s new action-packed survival thriller, Apex, stars Charlize Theron as an elite climber on the run from a ruthless hunter, played by Taron Egerton. Sydney got a slice of the action where adrenaline junkies put their endurance and speed to the test at the “Apex Challenge” that took over Sydney’s Climbfit gym.
The one-off challenge brought to life the tension and scale of the movie’s intense climbing finale – minus the life-or-death stakes. Climbfit in St Leonards got the movie-star treatment as it transformed into an Apex environment with a custom ‘hero route’ to test skills. Some of the country’s best climbers were there on the day to take on the route in a timed competition. Getting a bit of FOMO? The Apex hero route will be sticking around ’til the end of the week so you can give it a crack and see if you have what it takes to survive. Climbfit is open every day of the week until late in St Leonards, Macquarie Park and Kirrawee so you can get the adrenaline pumping.
