Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel has become a bit of a hotspot for epic New Year’s Day parties that combine gorgeous seaside views with fun dancefloors and refreshing post-party food and drink. They’re ringing in 2020 with a fabulous New Year’s Eve soirée, and then backing it up on January 1 with this day-to-night party to kick off the fresh decade.
This will be Watsons' fifth NYD event, and this year groovy eyewear brand Soda Shades and the summer-fresh brewers from Byron Bay Premium Lager are stepping things up a notch with fun activities, a sick line-up of DJs and local performers, plus plenty of great snacks and beverages.
Feeling a little dusty? Get back into the groove zone at the ‘Recovery Room’ from noon-4pm. Here, you can sip on a fresh juice (with or without a shot of vodka) while Mac Cosmetics provide touch-ups so you can start 2020 glowing. There’ll be a hair bar doing do touch-ups and fancy styles, and even some absolute angels providing foot massages.
Once you’re rejuvenated and ready to rock, head out to any level of the hotel to party with DJs like headliner Mansionair, plus Naations, Kinder and other local musos, as well as the day’s hosts, Steph Claire Smith and Josh Miller. While you sway away, enjoy an Espresso Martini or icy cold Byron Bay Premium Lager. All tickets include a two-hour food and drink package which covers any concoction you might have your heart set on, plus the hotel’s beloved snacks.
The party will also host a series of fun competitions, with prizes to be won every hour, plus Soda Shades merch which you can purchase as party mementos.
