Get ready: the Inner West’s beloved Leichhardt Oval is about to get a huge makeover complete with brand new grandstands and modern facilities. It’s no secret that the home of the Wests Tigers is a favourite in locals’ hearts so it’s only appropriate that a big send-off is in store until we set eyes on the finished product.
On Saturday, September 19, locals of all ages are invited to a free community party, One Last Roar. Running from 1pm to 6pm, there will be food trucks, family friendly activities and legendary rugby league history galore.
Settle back and soak up the atmosphere as five amazing live acts rock on during the day, including The Angels, The Superjesus, LAHGO, Good Pash and Wests Tigers legend Wayne Pearce performing hits from Aussie icons like INXS and John Farnham.
Come afternoon, Pro Wrestling Australia brings the heat to the pop-up wrestling ring. Expect some big stunts and even bigger characters that’ll entertain the young and old alike.
