Time Out says

One of Melbourne’s best bars is taking control of the tins in the centre of the city for one night only

Prince of York is beginning the year with a bang. The CBD party palace, and Best New Bar award nominee at Time Out Sydney’s 2020 Bar Awards, is launching ‘In Residence’, a series of one-night-only collaborations with inspiring legends in Australia’s arts and hospitality scenes – and they’re kicking things off with a cracker.

On Saturday, February 1, Romeo Lane’s Joe Jones will be taking over Pamela’s – the Prince’s debaucherous disco den – and serving up a selection of greatest hits from the Melbourne cocktail bar that won both the Best Cocktail Bar and coveted Bar of the Year gongs at Time Out Melbourne’s 2020 Bar Awards.

Bring a serious thirst because Jones and the Prince of York team will also be unveiling a special list of cocktails on the night, showcasing Romeo Lane’s forward-thinking and minimal-ingredient approach (think a mezcal Old Fashioned with Cynar and grapefruit oil) and the signature punchbowls that have made Pamela’s such a runaway hit.

Entry is free and the (mirror) ball gets rolling from 6pm, but this one’s bound to fill up quick, so get down early. Pro tip: Prince of York opens at 4pm, which means you should probably  book a table for a quick dinner (spaghetti in a bag!) before heading downstairs for a few drinks and a boogie.
