Time Out says

The Museum of Sydney transforms into a physical and digital playground for this interactive and colourful exhibition

When was the last time you engaged in an activity for the joy of it, rather than for work or life admin? In other words, when was the last time you played? Not only is it important for us to have down time to relax and recharge, research shows that the benefits of play are many, from building our creativity and imagination, to relieving stress, stimulating the mind and improving our connection to others.

If it’s been a while between laughs, head along to the Museum of Sydney, which currently has an interactive exhibition on offer that’s all about playing, called PlayScapes. Inspired by the colours and patterns of Syney’s stunning landscapes, PlayScapes is a series of interactive play spaces designed to push your imagination, encourage creativity, innovation and problem-solving, and explore the possibilities of play. Bring along your little people if you have them, and if not, come with a friend and enjoy a day away from the usual grind.

Developed in collaboration with Sydney-based creative agency Junior Major and multidisciplinary artist Beastman, PlayScapes is free to enter, and the exhibition is open daily from 10am to 5pm, from now until June 4, 2023 (it’s closed on Good Friday). You’ll find the Museum of Sydney on Phillip Street in Sydney CBD.
