Winter is here and there's nothing like a little bit of liquid warmth to beat the cold. If your drink of choice is a whisky, then how about a rare new single malt, that's nearly fifty years in the making? Talisker has unveiled the Magma 47-Year-Old and to mark the occasion, the distillery is hosting an invite-only dining experience at one of Sydney's (and the world’s) best restaurants.
The venue? Josh Niland's revolutionary seafood restaurant Saint Peter, where a bespoke multi-course menu will be paired with some of Talisker’s rare releases. Bringing together Niland's fin-to-gill philosophy with Talisker's 'Made by the Sea' heritage, the collaboration promises an exceptional culinary experience.
To celebrate the release, we’re giving a lucky winner the chance to experience this exclusive dinner on June 23. They'll be able to bring a pal and taste Niland’s boundary-pushing menu paired with Talisker's rare releases, including a $700 nip of the Magma 47-Year-Old itself.
Inspired by the volcanic history of Scotland’s Isle of Skye, the whisky combines sweet smoke, mineral salinity and warming spice. It’s also Talisker’s most limited release to date: just 622 bottles are available worldwide, each retailing for almost $9,000. In other words, this is a whisky very few people will ever get to taste – and you could be one of them.
To enter, fill in your details below by midnight, June 18.
