Time Out says

The Sydney Writers’ Festival will kick off early this year with a chat with satirist and political commentator Armando Iannucci on Tuesday May 2, ahead of the festival proper from May 22-28.

Iannucci is the creator of cult classics The Thick of It, Veep and In the Loop, and has provided some of the most scathing and gut-wrenchingly funny takes on the current political climate.

Appearing in conversation with Benjamin Law at the Sydney Town Hall, Iannucci will talk about comedy writing, politics and coining silly catchphrases (like Veep’s classic, “continuity with change”) in his only Sydney appearance.
