Have the ultimate bake off at this boozy baking class with a competitive edge

Have you ever dreamed of competing on your favourite culinary competition reality show? Well grab an apron, it’s your turn. Kind of. At this pop-up baking class experience, you can team up with your mates to whisk it all against the clock with sugar-laced challenges, and get your creativity flowing with cocktails shaking and stirring things up throughout.

There’s new recipes and different challenges every week at this 90 minute experience. There are multiple recipes to choose from, or bakers can choose a surprise recipe which they must then complete – and eat. To whet your appetite, week one kicked off with salted caramel brownies and cheesecakes.

The Big Bake is hosted by internationally renowned pastry chef, Ridhi Rahman, and a special (non) celebrity judge. Your $50 ticket entitles you to all the ingredients you’ll need, a glass of bubbly on arrival, tips and tricks from the expert, and at least one baked item for each team to take away. Whether you’re a cake boss or a total novice, this experience will have you declaring “nailed it!” by the time hands-off is called and the winners are crowned.

The Big Bake is a creation from the team behind interactive experiences like the Mad Hatters Tea Party at Wonderland Bar, and it is taking over the former site of Radley's Cafe in the Met Centre in Sydney’s CBD. This event is hanging around until the end of April and there’s multiple session times throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays starting between 11.30am and 8.30pm, as well as evening sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 5.30pm and 8.30pm (depending on availability). Make a booking here.
