Looking for somewhere special to spend Valentine’s Day? Picture this: the sun is setting over Sydney Harbour, the city lights up after dark, and you’re taking in the views from a cruise ship as Champagne pours and seafood platters arrive. Or maybe you’d rather take in those million-dollar harbour views over a leisurely long-lunch?
Whether you’re impressing a date or blowing off steam with friends on or around that notorious day of love, Captain Cook Cruises has options for celebrating on the water with packages ranging from $79 to $249 per person. There are three dinner cruises to choose from with a choice of three, four or six course menus, pick-ups at 5pm or 7pm, and a comprehensive wine and cocktail list. Better yet, all Valentine’s lunches and dinners include a glass of premium Champagne on arrival, a special dessert, and a chocolate gift to sweeten every heart.
Keep it more casual (but still a little bit fancy) and gather some friends to set sail on the Mumm Harbour Bar, which is open from 3pm every day over the Valentine’s weekend. You'll get one and a half hours of bottomless Mumm Grand Cordon Champagne paired with a seafood platter to share from $89 per person. After 5pm, the bar converts into the Lover’s Lounge. You and your date will be greeted with a Sunset Kiss Martini and settle into comfy lounges for two hours of live acoustic music and a tapas-style bar menu from $39 per person.
All cruises depart from Darling Harbour, with some also stopping at Circular Quay. There are options to get you drinking and dining on the water on February 12, 13 and 14. Check out the options and make a booking here.
