It’ll be a jolly good day, old chap
Not counting the days you spent catching Pokémon on the common, when was the last time you spend a whole day at the park? Sydney Fringe Festival is turning back the clock to a time when lazy Sunday afternoons in the park were about sipping fresh lemonade and watching the local cricket team play. They’re taking over the newly refurbished Camperdown Park for a Vintage Cricket Day Picnic, which will include old-school games and activities, food trucks and the sound of wicket on leather as the University of Sydney Cricket Club shows us what a good innings looks like out on the field. The event is free to attend, however, you can pre-purchase picnic hampers for two or four people from $55, including themed snacks like scotch eggs, strawberries and clotted cream scones.
