Time Out says

Make your voice heard ahead of the marriage equality plebiscite

With the marriage equality plebiscite looming, there’s never been a more important time to stand up in support of equal rights for LGBTIQA Australians.

This Sunday, the Just Equal campaign is organising a huge rally alongside Community Action Against Homophobia, Equal Marriage Rights Australia, GetUp!, NSW Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby, PFLAG Australia, Rainbow Families, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, Sydney Pride Festival, Trans Sydney Pride and Union Pride.

The rally takes place after the High Court decides whether or not Australia goes ahead with the postal plebiscite. It’ll start at Sydney Town Hall at 1pm.

Bring your placards, dress to impress and proudly declare your support for LGBTIQA Australians. Naturally, everyone is welcome, so if you’re an ally this is the perfect chance to show the country and the government that you'll be voting yes in the upcoming postal vote.

Because equality matters, all speeches will also be Auslan interpreted.

On Tuesday, show your support at the Unity: Equality Campaign Concert and on Saturday September 23, join the Reclaim the Streets movement for Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Festival for Marriage Equality.
