They also serve a standout selection of rare and delicious amaro from around the globe.
Stick around for free “Chicago deep-dish pizza”-flavoured popcorn (yes, really) and a late-night playlist that channels early Y2K New York indie sleaze. There’s a giant glitterball to dance under – and the place is open until 2am Thursday to Saturday, and midnight Wednesday and Sunday.
It’s one of Sydney’s tiniest bars, but Cantina OK! punches well above its weight, serving benchmark Margaritas regularly ranked among the best in the world. Expect weekly cocktail specials made in collaboration with very cool friends of the bar, who include Maison Balzac, Ken Done and Corner 75.
Stick around for rare, small-batch mezcal sourced from some of Mexico’s most remote distilleries, all soundtracked by a multi-cultural disco mix. Open until 2am, seven nights a week, this world-famous spot is a must.
Kick things off early at Centro 86, an underground Margarita den that was named Best Bar in Time Out Sydney’s Food & Drink Awards 2025. They sling $7 lagers and $13 Spicy Margaritas from 4-6pm (or if you're there on a Monday, you'll score those $13 Margies all night long). Drop in on a Wednesday for Tequila De Primera, where a premium tequila bottle is handpicked from the 100+ strong backbar and poured at a heavily discounted price.

Blast off into the world of Martinis at Bar Planet, Newtown’s cosmic cocktail den. On Martini Mondays, their signature serve goes for as little as $12 a pop. Swing by midweek to try the towering Skyscraper Martini (stacked with six olives) or the Scorpino, a fruity blend of Prosecco and seasonal sorbet, often crafted in collaboration with local Inner West legends like Milly Dent, Saddle Club and Reverse Garbage. Surry Hills’ go-to for Margarita-fuelled good times is still going strong, serving up happy-hour deals from Tuesday to Saturday. Drop in to Tio’s before 6pm and you’ll score $12 Margaritas, $7 lagers, or the rotating frozen Margarita special for $23 a pop.

If you're keen to dance ’til dawn, make a beeline for The Cliff Dive on Oxford Street. This underground nightclub serves up party-starter happy hour deals every Friday and Saturday from 8-9pm (extended to 11pm for students with valid ID). Sip on $9 house spirits or the signature $7 Cliffy Juice, then stick around as the DJs fire up and the dance floor fills. Expect a high-energy mix of R’n’B, hip-hop, and old-school rap from the ’90s to now – spinning until 5am.
