Create your own bar game Olympics at these Chicago bars

We've already told you where to get the best restaurant and bar specials for the Olympics, where to watch the Olympics and hosted our own Oysterlympics—but what if you wanted to participate in your own version of the Olympic games? In the competitive spirit of the 2016 Olympics, we've created a bar game pub crawl that anyone could host. We're certain that we'd take home the gold in this version of the Olympics because, after all, drinking and bar games are among the things we do best.

Shuffleboard at Drum & Monkey: Start your competition at this Little Italy staple by grabbing a beer and hanging out in the booths near shuffleboard in the back room of the bar.

Bocce at Kaiser Tiger: Bocce is out in the back patio at Kaiser Tiger and things get pretty competitive, so make sure you grab a cold one (there's a ridiculous amount of craft beer on tap) and support your team while you wait your turn.

Checkers and chess at The Game Room: Paul McGee's cocktails reign supreme at this downtown spot, which also boasts shuffle board, foosball, billiards and bocce. However, the dark wood-paneled setting lends itself to the more cerebral games of checkers and chess, which can be played at tables near the back of the room.

Pétanque at Streeterville Social: Enjoy the view while you play the French version of horseshoes, which substitutes hollow metal balls for equestrian footwear. If the Pétanque court is too crowded, there's also Jenga.

Jenga at Streeter's Tavern: Head to Streeter's Tavern, where you can enjoy cheap beer while attempting to avoid a disastrous spill playing Jenga.

Golf at 3 Greens Market: This during-the-day lunch favorite has coffee, a few beer selections, boozy steamers and a small putting green for you to refuel and caffeinate before the rest of the crawl.

Arcade games at Headquarters Beercade: Stop by Headquarters Beercade and show off your pinball skills or go for that Q*Bert high score.

Pool at Delilah's: You'll have to go upstairs at this whiskey bar for pool, but you can drink an old fashioned and listen to punk rock while you're shooting.

Darts at Cody's: This spot is dog friendly and has cheap beer (and spots to bring your own grilling supplies), so stop by the grocery store and cook up some burgers while you play darts midway through your bar Olympics.

Bags at Murphy's Bleachers: Head to Wrigleyville to partake in the quintessential yard game.

Skee ball at Begyle: There's only one skee ball table tucked in a room so be prepared to wait, but no worries, there are plenty of board games to play while you sip at this brewery.

Board games at Hopewell: Take a break from the heavy lifting and enjoy a slower board game.

Foosball at Emporium Logan Square: We've made it to the game that everyone pretends to be good at, but if you've made it this far, our hat’s off to you—you've had at least 13 drinks at this point.

Ping pong at Happy Village: Finish off the night with a friendly game at Happy Village, then hang out on the back porch as you award everyone with their first place medals—we're all champions in this ridiculously long bar crawl.
