Valentine's Day dinners
Regularly lauded as the most romantic restaurant in Chicago, Geja's will be throwing a festival from February 10 to February 20, so you can join the fun whenever or grab a reservation on Valentine's Day to enjoy a cheese fondue dinner, rosé and champagne, and live flamenco at this romantic spot.
Fancy a veggie-centric dinner? Head to Bad Hunter, where you can get reservations in the main dining room for the regular menu (we're huge fans of the butter dumplings and tempura fried lemons) or head upstairs to the Herbarium for a prix fixe menu ($65 per person) for a special dinner.
For the wallet–conscious this Valentine's Day, take your date to Jerry's Sandwiches (the Lincoln Square and Andersonville locations) for a $48–for–two prix fixe meal. You'll get complimentary sparkling wine and your choice of appetizers like cheese curds, bruschetta and jalapeño poppers. Entrees include fried lobster and beef tenderloin and you'll end dinner with a brownie sundae.
Head to this new hotel bar on Valentine's Day for cocktails and food specials, like bison capraccio with potato crumble or lamb with white bean puree and marinated mushrooms. Rosé will be available by the glass and whiskey lovers will find cocktails tailored to them for $13 each.
Make your dinner an array of oysters. Enjoy a half dozen oysters and two special Valentine's Day cocktails for $24. Additionally, $1 oysters will be available a la carte with a $10 Pink Gin cocktail and live music all night long.
Film fanatics, head to Carbon Arc for Valentine's Day. They'll be playing Some Like it Hot served with a three-course prix-fixe menu. The whole experience is $65 per couple, with dishes like a traditional Waldorf Salad and Steak Delmonaco for two. You'll even get a glass of bubbly for the experience. Enjoy a five-course Valentine's Day dinner at Vermilion with dishes like oysters with pomegranate and lime chili mint, New York strip and chocolate cake. All the aphrodisiacs you could imagine in one meal. The dinner is $65 per plate and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant or on OpenTable.
What could be more cozy than ramen on Valentine's Day? Head to Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya for $30 and $65 dinner packages with an optional add on of a white rose bouquet and Japanese chocolate set for $60. Seatings will take place at 5:30 and 8pm and both packages include appetizers, entrée and dessert with choices like pork gyoza, aji tempura and all choices of ramen. Devon Seafood Grill is putting together a special selection of entrées for Valentine's Day. Choose from lobster tail, 8-ounce filet Oscar or a surf and turf. Choose from sides like cauliflower mash, Brussels sprouts with prosciutto and wild mushroom risotto. Reservations are $60 per person plus tax and gratuity; the regular menu is available as well. Reservations are highly recommended.
Grab red pasta at 312 Chicago's Valentine's Day prix fixe menu for $55 per person. You'll be able to get beet ravioli with pheasant or risotto with strawberry and crab and finish your meal with red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and strawberry sauce.
