Look into the future of design as the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) partner up for one of the most innovative exhibitions this summer! Shining a spotlight on young designers who are redefining the cultural landscape of tomorrow, 'Emerging Design Talents 2022: Culture Future' will feature Advanced Design Studio (ADS) programmes, which takes a look at how real-life issues can be solved through design, such as the application of virtual reality (VR) in the medical field, as well as works that explore the roots of culture through various technologies and media formats.
Highlights not to be missed include the 'Advanced Design Studio: Magical Stage Experience – Dancing and Imaging in a VR city' exhibition, where visitors can learn more about Hong Kong culture through VR technology; and the 'Denim Fridays' (4pm-5.30pm) dance and busking performances on August 20 prepared by graduates of the Department of Fashion and Image Design. Running from now until August 21, these impressive exhibits offer great insight into the relationship between people and objects; encouraging viewers to ponder the cultural possibilities of the future.
