The vibe
This chilled space was dreamt up by Icelandic graphic artist Katrin Olina and furnished by industrial designer Michael Young.
The drink
Cristal’s sleek looks are let down by its very average drinks list. There was one drink to note: the Blue Electric ($75), made with gin, rum, tequila, vodka, and blue liquor, with a splash of 7up. It tastes very much like a Long Island Iced Tea, with blue food colouring.
The entertainment
With 200,000 Swarovski crystals lit by a ray of ever-changing coloured lights, the jewel-studded bar mesmerises any patron who stares at it for too long.
The regulars
Hard to say as the place was empty on our visit, but then it has just opened.
