Co-founded by composer Edvard Grieg himself, the Oslo Philharmonic arrives to the Hong Kong Arts Festival with celebrated conductor Vasily Petrenko at the helm, making his debut in our city. Over two nights, the orchestra plays a host of Nordic classics, with pieces from Grieg’s own Peer Gynt Suite, Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No 1 and English composer Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto, the latter two featuring Norwegian cellist supreme Truls Mørk.
