Coinciding with the fourth anniversary of Tai Kwun’s opening, In Bloom returns May 26 - 29  for its second year to showcase floral-themed delights and lifestyle products. With the season in full bloom, the anniversary will transform the Parade Ground into a botanical paradise featuring over a dozen local brands, vibrant activities and workshops, as well as sweet treats and feasts from participating Tai Kwun shops and restaurants.

Open daily from 1pm to 8pm, this year's floral showcase will place a focus on sustainability, featuring eco-friendly designs from local businesses, along with a myriad of goodies spanning from fresh flower boutiques, to single stem flowers, dried flowers, floral posters and more. 

Brands featured in this year’s market include DAISYZOOM BOTANIC, Give Her Flower, JFORESTKofeflowers, and The Grey Green. Those who are looking to take a walk on the wild side will also be regaled by the botanical and exotic plants selection from Forest Round Roundsunsi.co, and root

Floral finds and food

Along with delicious pastries and chocolates, Floraphiles can look forward to food and drink pop-ups. NAKA will be on site with their specialty Japanese products and preserves, while Hungry Hugger is bringing its digital artisanal marketplace to life. This design-driven startup is funded by the Design Incubation Programme and backed by the Hong Kong Design Centre, providing a platform for over 30 brands and their products to connect with consumers.

Meanwhile, visitors who are honey-eyed for more than just flowers can peruse COURBEGINNING's range of one-of-kind designs and floral accessories, candles proudly made in Hong Kong by Veni Vidi Amavi, and boutique fragrances at Scented Niche.

Extend the delights of the day into Tai Kwun’s restaurants and shops who will be joining in on the petal-themed spirit. Enjoy Café Claudel’s special Délice du Jardin Rose tart, served at midday each day during the festivities. Head to the Verandah at Madame Fù Grand Café Chinois for an alfresco In Bloom-themed dim sum featuring Pink Rose Seafood Dumpling and Bauhinia Flower Mushroom Dumpling, fusing contemporary Chinese with botanical treats. A taste of summer awaits at The Dispensary with an afternoon tea set dolled up in edible summer flowers and fluttering butterflies. Indulge in savoury sandwiches and sweet desserts paired with tea or Ruinart Champagne. The fairy-tale ending to the afternoon includes a limited-edition raspberry mousse flower pot cake and strawberry flora cocktail.
