Chinese New Year is upon us and that means it’s another season to feast with family and friends. To celebrate the Year of the Rat, chefs from all over the Klang Valley have been busy creating scrumptious menus for you to indulge in. Here’s a list of the best ones. 

If mum’s too busy to cook this Chinese New Year, head out and feast at Nook, Aloft KL. Find traditional Chinese dishes where there’ll be a DIY Yee Sang station to toss to a prosperous new year.

It’s all things traditional at Concorde Hotel. From set menus to preserved assorted meat and steam rice and three varieties of nian gao namely Steamed Nian Gao with Shredded Coconut, Deep-fried Nian Gao Roll with Sweet Potato and Tricolor Crystal Brown Sugar Roll, you sure are in for a treat! 

 

Set menu prices are RM1,388.00 nett, RM1,588.00 nett, RM1,888.00 nett and RM2,088.00 nett per table of 10 persons.

At Yun House, Chef Jimmy Wong has curated special Chinese New Year menus featuring his personal favourites such as braised money bags filled with ten head abalone, fragrant roasted duck with osmanthus flower, and double-boiled superior bird’s nest and red dates. During lunch hours, discover a curated selection of dim sum from foie gras dumpling with scallops, crystal shrimp dumpling and fish roe to charcoal lava bun and more.

 

At Curate, you’ll find a Yee Sang Master that will help to personalise the festive salad with premium ingredients such as mukrat lime, black tea, tom yum and beetroot. Curate also offers other cuisines for the celebration ranging from Western and Indian to Japanese and kampung-style Malaysian.
