Wizards

A contemporary café in the city, Wizards dishes out classic brunch dishes and coffee in the day, and hearty mains with wine and craft cocktails when night falls. With a name that translates to “Coffee, Yay!” in Japanese, this clean-cut spacious café serves food and drinks that are fun, lively and affordable. On the menu is an array of Japanese-inspired comfort food, like the dons, udons and salmon sashimi in poké bowls. Coffee here is expectedly good, with seasonal pour-over flavours and espresso-based coffees made with beans by local roasters.

The Red Beanbag

This contemporary Australian-inspired café serves hearty breakfast and brunch dishes with a variety of egg dishes – from eggs Benedict to baked eggs – alongside pancakes, French toast and more. Afternoon sees dishes like pastas and burgers making an appearance, and of course, it’s not a café without coffee. The coffee here is good, but if you prefer something else the smoothies are delicious too.
