Here at Time Out we’re pretty enamoured with Seven Dials – that little warren of shops and ace restaurants just off Covent Garden (and within spitting distance of Time Out Towers). We also love a freebie – so imagine our frenzied delight that a bevy of excellent 7D eateries will be chucking out gratis bites and booze on Sunday June 10.
It’s all for the inaugural Fashion Feast, a free Seven Dials-based shopping and food mini-fest. We can take or leave the shopping (yeah right!) but on the food front, such local luminaries as Hawksmoor, Chick ’n’ Sours, Talli Joe and Native will be hosting demos at a pop-up kitchen and giving away the fruits of their labour for absolutely zero monies. Ding ding!
Therein, expect things like Hawksmoor’s belly pork ribs, kale chaat from Talli Joe, wood pigeon kebab canapes from Native and chilli fish sauce chicken wings from Chick ’n’ Sours, while Cure + Cut chuck out cheese toasties and Monmouth Kitchen circulate 2,000 free tacos. Astounding stuff (though there’s limited numbers of each, especially the first four – so get in quick). Oh yeah, and there’s ice cream from Rococo, Pierre Hermé, Benefit and Magnum for afters, too.
But wait! There’s more! The generous folks at Hawksmoor will also be sloshing out free Harvey Collins gin cocktails – though you’ll need a voucher from the Seven Dials website to get your hands on those.
We can feel a food coma coming on already.
